Setting Up Your Workspace

    YouTube poster

Welcome to the Obello how-to series.

In this video, we’ll show how to setup your workspace in Obello — a powerful way to help your team quickly create content while maintaining brand consistency.

    Choosing Your Path

Once you’ve created your Obello account, you’ll land on a screen that gives you two options — a bit of a Matrix-style red pill or blue pill moment.

    • Blue Pill: Skip onboarding and jump straight into the product.Your workspace will come preloaded with Obello’s demo brand assets, so you can explore and experiment immediately. When you’re ready, you can replace the demo assets with your own.
    • Red Pill: Go through Obello’s step-by-step onboarding flow, which we recommend for the best experience. If you already have your brand assets handy, you can complete setup in just a few minutes.

For this demo, we’ll take the red pill and go through the full onboarding flow.

    What You’ll Need

Before starting, here’s a quick checklist of assets you’ll want ready:

    • A PDF of your brand guidelines (optional)
    • Logo or multiple logos (preferably SVG)
    • Brand fonts (.OTF or .TTF)
    • Brand color hex values
    • A few brand photography images
    • Some video content (MP4, M4V, or MOV — optional)

You only need a handful of images or videos to start — you can always add more later.

    Step 1: Upload Brand Guidelines

    1. Click Start Onboarding, then drag and drop your brand guidelines PDF into the window.
    2. If you don’t have one, just skip this step.
    3. Obello uses AI to extract details from your guidelines — things like brand voice, tone, and design elements such as your color palette.

    Step 2: Upload Your Logo

    • Next, upload your company logo(s) as SVG files.
    • Using SVGs allows Obello to adapt and recolor logos dynamically inside the platform.
    • Remember, you can always upload additional logos later.

Step 3: Add Your Brand Fonts

    • Drag and drop your .OTF or .TTF font files into the window.

These will automatically be added to your Typography Library for future use in templates.

Step 4: Review Your Brand Colors

    1. If you uploaded brand guidelines in Step 1, your colors will already be auto-detected and prefilled.
    2. Take a quick look — you can rename, reorder, or categorize colors as needed.
    3. Hit Continue once you’re happy.

    Step 5: Add Photography

    1. Now upload a few brand photography images.
    2. You only need a small selection to get started — you can expand your library anytime.

    Step 6: Add Video Content

    1. Finally, upload a few video files if you have them.
    2. If not, skip ahead — this step is optional.

    Your Workspace Is Ready

Once onboarding is complete, you’ll land on your Brand Assets homepage.

This area is fully customizable — you can:

    • Adjust how your color palette is displayed
    • Choose poster frames for your brand visuals
    • Reorder and rename sections (e.g., move secondary logos to primary)

You’ll now see all your uploaded assets — logos, fonts, colors, photography, and videos — along with optional spaces for illustrations, audio, and text.

    Wrapping Up

And that’s it — you’ve successfully onboarded and set up your workspace in Obello.

It’s fast, simple, and even a little fun.

Thanks for watching, and see you in the next video.
