Creating a Carousel in Email Builder

    Welcome to the Obello how-to series.

    In this how-to, we’ll walk through how to quickly build an image carousel inside Obello’s Email Builder.

    Starting Your Carousel

    Open the email template where you want the carousel to appear.

    You can start a carousel in two ways:

    1. Drag in a new block or new media, or
    2. Use existing media already in your layout.

    In this example, we’ll turn the first image in the template into a carousel.

    Adding Carousel Images

    1. Click the image you want to convert.
    2. In the toolbar, select Add Carousel.
    3. This opens your media library, where you can choose the images you want to include.
    4. Select your photos — we’ll pick three for this demo — then click Add to Carousel in the bottom-right corner.

    Previewing the Carousel

    You’ll now see the preview panel showing the images included in your carousel.

    This lets you confirm the order and overall flow before exporting.

    Exporting Your Email

    When you download your email as HTML, the carousel automatically exports as a GIF.

    This keeps the file size small and ensures smooth playback across email clients.

    Preview your email and you’ll see the carousel in action — lightweight, clean, and ready to send.
