Saving Reusable Components

    YouTube poster

Welcome to the Obello how-to series.

In this video, we’ll show how easy it is to save reusable components in the Obello editor — a simple way to save your team time and reduce design headaches.

    Selecting Elements to Save

    1. Start in the Obello editor with your design open.
    2. Select any element or group of elements you’d like to reuse.
    3. In this demo, we’ll select a text box and the shape behind it.

    Saving a Component

    1. Right-click the selected elements and choose Save Component — it’s the first option in the context menu.
    2. That’s it. The component is now saved and available in your Components Library, which you can access from the left navigation panel.

    Editing or Deleting a Component

    1. To rename or delete a saved component, right-click it in the Components Library and choose the desired option.
    2. For this demo, we’ll delete the original elements from the canvas, then drag the saved component back from the library — and there it is, ready to use again.

    Workspace-Level Components

Keep in mind that components are saved at the workspace level, not the user level. That means everyone on your team will have access to the same saved components in your shared library.

    Wrapping Up

And that’s how simple it is to save and manage reusable components in Obello. Thanks for watching, and see you in the next video.
